Heyo! I am back from vacation. I went to Hurghada aka الغردقة with my family. We had so so much fun.
Tuesday
We left at about 6:30 pm. We first drove to Suez. There, we hung out a bit, bought some things for Hurghada, saw Boosy's new apartment, ate kofta sandwiches, and met with some family.
We stayed the night going to bed around midnight. It was hard to sleep because it was really really hot. But we managed to sleep a couple hours before getting up around 4 am to Hurghada.
Wednesday
After waking up at 4 we got on the road at 5 after some coffee. I slept basically the entire way there.
We checked in about 10. Everyone rested until lunchtime.
After lunch, I went to the pool with Taher and his friend. We met some other people and played water polo.
After this I showered, changed, and watched a bit of TV before dinner.
After dinner, there was a "Mr. Hotel" contest which was really fun to watch.
After that, we played billiards. And I'm terrible at it.
Thursday
After getting up, getting ready, and getting breakfast, we went to the beach.
For a few hours I swam and read. Then, after lunch, I went snorkeling.
Snorkeling was really fun, obviously. I enjoyed the water and the sun and the fish and the coral, it was stunning. And it's not something you'd expect from Egypt.
I finally got my swim tan back, but my shoulders and back were badly sunburnt.
After the beach, we played more in the pool and then dinner.
Friday
Friday morning, we played in the pool. Then, mostly everyone had to go pray, so I say by the pool and read.
We went to the beach again. No snorkeling, but I read and swam.
That night I met an american girl. She has been world traveling for almost six months now.
A group of us had formed over the past couple days. We played games and talked and just hung out until about 5 am.
Saturday
After another short night of sleep, we didn't do much that day. I got breakfast and then packed. We checked out at 12 pm and got back to Cairo about 6:30 pm.
This trip was amazing. It was a lot of family bonding, and relaxing, and being more outgoing than I ever would be, and reading, and getting tan, and being really awesomely happy.
Hello, summer!
Learn something today.
Byeeee
Corie.
